Song of Death

the song of death they always sing
it echoes in my ear.
i feel it always
only then can I hear
You sing of life
of happiness and joy
but alas, the song of death
bids me to draw near.
you sing of death, I dream of you
of power and fame, you sing
of pleasure, sex, and money, you sing
sounds so appealing
You sing of eternality
of life forever
but all the rules! i must follow
i choose, the way of Dark
sounds so appealing
the way of Light
sounds so hard and boring
the way of dark becomes my choice,
my life, my world
you sing louder,
until my ears vibrate with your words
You sing so softly, i hear You calling
but push Your voice away
and yet, You never stop calling
but Your voice so quiet i disregard
i am having fun
You shed a tear of sorrow
but never stop singing
Your words of life
i feel you calling, i draw nearer
come, my friend, come
i can show you many things
to make you happier
richer
more famous
You call me back
a quiet call
You offer mercy, grace
you offer sex, money
i choose you
once more
You bid me, come,
You beg me, come
a screech of tires, a crunch of metal
a flash of bright white light
the sound of voices,
hushed, sad
he won't make it
through the night
oh please, come, help me
you just laugh
you will soon be mine
all mine...
You beckon, but it's too late
i am yours
forever
You cry but call no more

Dream

I think of death, I dream of you
The whispers in my ear
You fight to live
I live to fight
An eternal struggle
Such is life
Only a whisper in my ear
I sing to live
You sing to die
Only death could raise us up
I dream of death
Only if it comes
I dream of death, I think of you
A whisper in my ear
Only you can save me
From this hell they call
Life
A soul will live
A sparrow dies
The life in which we live
I call upon the living dead
If only for a whim
A whisper bids
I bide my time
And wait
For a moment
Then spring
With the might
Of nothing
In which this life I live.
You call to me, your sweet words say
To come to you
For only you can save
Alas, I disregard
The only thing that saves
For I, myself, with all my might
Must die.
A whisper in my ear
