Wow.
Just...wow.This week has been awesome. I went to World Changers, and re-roofed a house. You don't need a long explination, but we finished a day early, and it was incredibly fun. My crew was /amazing/. We had Kevin, our crew chief and a totally awesome guy. He was an amazing crew chief, not making us do all the work but not taking over ethier. Plus, his favourite band is Linkin Park, automatically proclaiming him as 'cool'. Mr. Rick, Kevin's dad, was second-in-command, I guess. He did most of the technical work that no one else knew how to do. Then Maggie, crew encourager. She was great, working as hard as anyone and encouraging us all too. Seth was Rick's bodyguard and the official shingle-lifter. Michael was amazing, beating us all in the sweating contest. ;) Will was our devotional leader, and a darn good one. I swear he needs to be a preacher some day. Valarie was great, she painted the edging, helped Rick, and cleaned up, which meant I didn't have to pick up shingles. *happy dance* xD Sara pounds them shingles like a well-oiled machine. Madison was awesome too, she picked up the art of nail-pounding fast and whacked those things like whack-a-mole. Danny really didn't do anything, he drank Gatorade and gave orders. :) No, but really, he was a great worker, if a bit obsessed with his sunglasses. Steve is my idol, he can get those roofing nails in in one whack. One hit! Jenny's had 5 years of roofing and did the valley excellently, earning the title "Valley Queen". Carrie's a beast. Just a beast.
And, of course, our awesome homeowner, who supplied us with gatorade and chips all week, as well as a party Thursday, complete with pizza, punch, cake, ice cream, and presents. She was beyond amaizng.
And thank God for our tree! That was...incredible. The house stayed at least partially shaded all day. It put the Z in Awesome, yo.
We had a half-day (7:30 to 11:00 instead of 7:30 to 4-5), so technically we finished in 3.5 days. We owe it to our awesome crew, flippin' cool chief, and our tree. So Friday we helped other houses. There were already about a dozen people on the roofs, so I just picked up nails and shingles. *shrug* Also, I found a small orange ball on the ground and hammered it into a crack in the sidewalk, my most amazing feat, No applause, please. *bows*
For any of the Roller Kings that may be reading this, you all OWN! Our crew was amazing, and you were all a vital part of the team. Thanks for tolerating me for a whole week. I love you all!
I'm going to bed soon...bye, now!

Cool... sounds like what we did in Reynosa. Isn't hard sweaty labor so much fun?

Yes, and don't you look so amazingly attractive with your hair plastered to your face and arms dirtier than the roof? x3
